Acme Fresh Market is a grocery store chain based in Akron, Ohio, United States, that has 16 locations in Summit, Portage, Stark, and Cuyahoga counties of Northeast Ohio. It was established in 1891. Opening a new location in Green, Ohio, the design team of Steve Albrecht, Schumacher Designs, and Krumroy-Cozad Construction sought input to include quilt based designs throughout the new store.
Information
Many designs for the walls were created combining traditional quilt patterns and illustrations of food items. Seven of those designs were slected and printed onto fabric and hung in-between the windows above the refrigerated dairy coolers.
